On Water Safety Checklist TOP TEN

1 - ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL WEAR LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES
Note: this includes ALL Adults, Teachers, Pets, & Students!!
2 - We Ride 3 PEOPLE PER CANOE  (we can make a few 2 person exceptions)  
**FYI w/ 3 people...one person sits in middle...they are dead weight and help with balance
3 - Equipment Includes...Canoe, 2 Paddles & 3 Life Jackets
ALL Canoe Equipment MUST BE CHECKED OUT AT END
4 - REFRAIN from TIPPING/SWAMPING/ATTACKING your Canoe and others! 
5 - We stay on the RIGHT HAND SHORE LINE...the MN Side 
6 - LEAVE YOUR DRY CLOTHES ON BUS duh!?!
7 - We have Power Boats patrolling and helping our group on river
8 - NO Swimming when ON RIVER (will be an option at Canoe Party)
9 - NEVER Leave boat unattended...stay with your boat at all times! 
10 - There are NO BATHROOMS on River...when “Nature Calls” use “Nature”!

Student BASIC EXPECTATIONS on Trip…

1 - Wear your LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES 
2 - Wear your LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES (even if you exit boat to pee in woods)
3 - Wear your LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES (even if you think you look dumb in it)
4 - Wear your LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES (or your teachers will become VERY crabby quickly)
5 - Follow basic School Dress Code
6 - Act Normal...act in a manner that would make your school proud at all times!! 
7 - Have a GOOD TIME...this is a FUN Trip!!

Student Packing List

What to BRING ON TRIP…
1 - a set of Dry Clothes/Shoes and a towel...you probably will get wet! 
2 - Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Bug Spray
3 - Frisbee, Football...something to play with at park! 
4 - Water Bottle and a small snack for in Boat (Please keep an eye on Garbage)

You Can bring…
1 - Phones are allowed...we (teachers) take NO RESPONSIBILITY if they end up on river bottom
2 - your own Life-Jacket...one is supplied, but if you are picky or like the fit of yours...we (teachers) take ZERO RESPONSIBILITY if you lose your personal life-jacket.

What NOT to BRING ON TRIP…
1 - Glass or Aluminum Containers...National Park Regulation
2 - Squirt Guns, Water Balloons, Machetes...considered “weapons” 
3 - Fishing Gear, Drones,
4 - Any items that are OBVIOUSLY not allowed at school (pets, knives, little brothers, illegal items)
