The Waconia Middle School’s Eighth Grade is planning a canoe trip down the St. Croix River on Wednesday, Sept 18th. The focus of this trip is to give our students the opportunity to try out their canoeing skills in a safe and supervised setting, as well as to KICK OFF their last year as Middle Schoolers! The eighth graders have participated in this trip throughout the past 25 years and these trips have all been a HUGE success! Students, teachers, and chaperones had a blast cruising down the St. Croix to our destination…the post-canoe cook out! Permission slips will be sent home with all 8th graders on TBD…these need to be signed & returned (with optional contribution) to a student’s Connect Teacher by TBD. This website is a complete resource for this 8th Grade experience, but if you have further questions regarding specific details PLEASE reach out to your student’s Connect Teacher & we will try to answer questions and/or give a better explanation of trip specifics.
