World Tour Step # 5 - FULL Trip itinerary
The Trip Itinerary is a MAJOR component of the World Tour website and should be the MAIN focus of energy throughout this project experience. (Basically this is the most time consuming & toughest part of the project) You will be creating a 5 day/4 night “Hour by Hour” itinerary (schedule of your trip), so your customers know EXACTLY what they are going to be doing throughout their adventure. Please read through the list below BEFORE starting this task because you need to follow the directions in order to get FULL credit.
Trip Itinerary Webpage Creation Basics...
1) MUST give “Hour by Hour” details of EVERY DAY
2) Your Trip Itinerary starts the minute you plane lands in your destination city. ALL Flight info will be included within your Flight Info Page, so no need to include it within your Itinerary pages. (So how you getting to your hotel? hmmm...the fun begins & remember to include as much info as possible)
3) Tour MUST spend 4 nights at a hotel within your destination city. (basically it does not matter if you have an “over-night” flight...book 4 nights at your hotel)
4) Itinerary must have THREE major Activities/Tourist Destinations for each day spent in your city...basically a Morning, Afternoon and Evening Activity planned.
5) Assume your groups want to see everything...we are not going to travel the world to stay back in the Hotel to nap & do cannon balls in pool...Lets see and do!! (honestly Up and AT em at 8am and home at 10pm...a full day and make the most of your time)
6) Include Nightly Hotel Accommodation Information...travelers need to know exactly where they are staying each night. (no sleeping on the street & YES it is suggested that you stay at the same hotel for the entire experience...this will make things easier)
7) Include where you eat EVERY meal...please give Restaurant Name, Location, and link to website of Restaurant if it is available!! (NO FAST FOOD & you can ONLY eat Breakfast at the Hotel...bfast is usually included in Hotel price)
8) This trip is for 2 ADULTS (age 21+)...plan accordingly!
9) Explain the basics of ANY and ALL stops throughout the entire itinerary
10) Include Mode of Transportation (Bus, Train, Taxi), Approximate Cost, Time, and Distances covered...prepare your travelers!
11) Must stay within 75 miles from the center of your chosen city throughout your advertised trip.
12) No Need to give “Hour by Hour” updates when you are sleeping or at an attraction for an extended period of time!!
13) Itinerary must have AT LEAST 3 working “Hyperlinks” within EACH DAY of your itinerary...restaurants, clubs, museums, attractions, etc!
